Painting
A compound made exclusively for this function, serving as a base or can be used before the traditional background (gray).
The dilution of the paint depends on the manufacturer that sells. Some sell them already with a little solvent, so that the required amount is less. Others sell them almost in the order of nature, like a thick paste, so it is necessary much more solvent.
Either way, the amount of solvent is much larger than themselves in paint for plastic modeling. In general should be a part of a solvent for ink (more sparse in paints) and up to a third solvent ink, in case of thicker paint.

To dissolve the automotive paint, it is recommended to use the appropriate diluent, normally recommended for the type of ink to be used. It is usual to use thinner, which is a solvent (mainly are intended to clean the painting materials) as a diluent, which deserves a little bigger. Acrylic paints should only be dissolved in acrylic varnish, otherwise it can result in a "burned" color, or settling of the pigment in the background.
Just as there are automotive paint, automotive paint also exists, which has the same function as conventional varnish. The advantage is that, being suitable for the type of ink, does not react with it, causing color changes or defects in the paint like wrinkling. In addition, the automotive paint is much more weather resistant, and does not yellow with ease. There are two types of coatings, the use that is ready to dilute and use only, and so-called "bi-components". The latter, as the name says, is divided into two compounds, paint and catalyst, a kind of "drying".
In recent years, the manufacturing systems of spot colors (mixers) were more accessible. The sale of small quantities, more specific color allows these inks are used in various applications.
There are basically three types of automotive paints, inks, polyester-based inks nitrocellulose lacquer (known as Duco) and acrylic paints. The inks are suitable for polyester colorful paintings and bright, ideal for model cars and motorcycles. The Duco paint, form a kind of plastic layer and have various shades. Virtually all colors are in this second category. The paint should be diluted in acrylic paint and acrylic paintings do not attack metal or transparencies.
In addition, there is a third material that is called a primer.
It helps the paint adhere to the plastic, since it was made to join in and requires a metal fastener to stick to other surfaces. The paint duco attack the plastic (as well as some solvents), so the use of a primer is not only recommended, as required. Another option for entering ink on plastic are called "adhesion promoters".
